Racer name: Razz Barlow III
Car: Sportsman Dwarf, a 5/8 scale replica of a 1934 Ford Coupe.
|The racer known as Razz Barlow III started racing in 1994 at Santa Maria Speedway (California) with his father. His father, always the pankster, became frustrated with announcers constantly mispronouncing his name. So, one day he signed himself up to race as Razzmatazz Eustace Barlow Jr. |
The name Razz Barlow III is a tribute to his Dad.
Razz Barlow III raced at Santa Maria Speedway in the Street Stock and Late Model divisions, even winning a track championship. He then moved onto the Champ Truck Series racing at Perris, Bakersfield, Hanford and Santa Maria. Even when not racing he has remained active in the racing community. It was while he was volunteering as a Tech Inspector at Barona Speedway that he came to the attention of car owner, Richard Massa.
Razz Barlow III races mostly at Barona Speedway in San Diego, California. He is the driver of the # 2 Sportsman Dwarf, a 5/8 scale replica of a 1934 Ford Coupe. The car is owned by Richard Massa Motorsports and is sponsored by Griffin’s Automotive in San Diego and Bulky Boy Clothing Co.
